How To Unlock Bootloader Of Sony Xperia Z1

Sony Xperia Z1 is the latest flagship from Sony which is the successor of Xperia Z, this time it have a 1080p Display, Water Resistance feature, 2 GB RAM, 2.2 Ghz Quad Core SD 800 CPU, 4.2 Jellybean and 20 Megapixel camera shooter. Now before rooting this device or flashing custom recovery, first we should unlock the bootloader of this smartphone, because we cant directly root this device until the bootloader is unlock. Get ready to Unlock the Bootloader Of Sony Xperia Z1.

Before You Begin: (must do)
1. Drivers should be installed on your PC, if not choose here : Sony USB Drivers
2. You should verify if your phone is able to be rooted. So go to Dialler of smartphone and enter the following: *#*#73788423#*#* By entering the code a Service menu will open. Tap Service Info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If the Bootloader Unlock Allowed says Yes, then you can unlock your bootloader and root device, if written No then you cant do nothing.
3. When you are unlocking the bootloader so All of your phone data will be erased/deleted, so try to do backup first.
4. First Update your phone to the latest firmware then try the unlocking method, other wise you will face problems with your phone.

1. Fastboot_with_android_USB_file.rar

Procedure:
1. Download the above zip file.
2. Go to the Official Website: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
3. In the website They will give some tips and instructions before you begin, if you agree then Continue and Process to unlock bootloader.
4. At last page of website you will see Create Unlock Request, click that button and then Give your IMEI number (from dialer *#06# to see imei number, some times remove the last digit of imei number if full doesnt worked), Name and Email Adress.
5. You will receive a unique number to your Email Address so donot delete it, save it.
6. Now Extract the above Fastboot.....zip file.
7. Hold Shift and Right click the Extracted folder, then click Open Command Window Here
8. Now Connect your Phone in fastboot mode, Just Turn Off your phone and Press Volume Up key and directly Connect the USB Cable. (make sure drivers are properly installed on your PC)
9. In the command window type the following command line:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version
10. If the returned value is 0.5 then your phone is connected properly, if not so something is missing in drivers.
11. Then in Command Window type the following code fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY  then Just replace the KEY with the number which was emailed to you from Sony Website, and press Enter. Now your device bootloader will be unlocked.
